Capital Campaign
reaches $900,000.00
The capital campaign has reached 90% of the target of raising one
million dollars. This remarkable achievement has been made possible by
the grace of God and the generosity of individuals who are committed to
providing a camping experience for children and youth on Prince Edward
Island.
Like the apostle Paul, we must redouble our efforts to reach the goal
that has been set. Every dollar counts. Now is the opportunity for
every member of every congregation within PEI Presbytery to participate
in reaching the goal of redeveloping Camp Abby. Donations may be made
thorough your local church or made directly to the Capital Campaign,
Camp Abegweit C/O Voluntary Resource Centre, 81 Prince Street,
Charlottetown, PE., C1A 4R3.

Camping
Sunday - April 27, 2008
Congregations
are asked to receive a special offering on Camping Sunday to assist the
Camp with operational expenses. Craft supplies, food, sports equipment,
and curriculum supplies need to be purchased in order to get the camp
up and running. The Camp appreciates the manner in which congregations
have helped out in years past. Ideas for the Camping Sunday Service are
available on the United Church of Canada web site.
Camp Bursaries
The Board would like to develop a
fund for children in need to be able to attend camp. If you or
your church would be interested in
sponsoring a child to attend camp, please contact the Chair of the
Board, Carolyn Francis.
